Television -- Marquee Moon

Whoa man, what an epic album!  Television's Marquee Moon is a Krautish San Franciscan style New York Punk Rock jam record ... this album did so much for the scene I won't even bother getting into it ... point is if you like music at all this better be on your list!

The Sisters Of Mercy -- Floodland

The undisputed kings of cheesy-ass goth music, admittedly I used to like these guys, luckily I can blame that on years of heavy drug use and hanging out in goth clubs trying to score.  Even though the drugs clearly clouded my musical judgment into thinking this sh*t was ok, I wouldn't take it back for the world, because I might not have turned into the curmudgeon snobby bastard I am today!

The Hives -- Veni Vidi Vicious

Man I thought these guys were the shit when this album came out, but now I could barely stand a few minutes of this over produced, mega poppy, revival shtick music.

Flamin' Groovies -- Now

This 1978 not so good but not so bad release by 60's Garage luminaries the Flamin' Groovies.  Here you have an older band trying to keep up with the times, but still pumping out some pretty decent tunes.  Now the album sounds like Jangly  Power Pop, it's a nice try, but just isn't good enough.

Big Star -- # 1 Record

What do you get when you mix the good parts from Led Zeppelin III, T. Rex and Parsons era Byrds ... this epic debut album by Big Star # 1 Record.

The Undertones

One of the best damn Punk Rock albums of all time, released in an era when the scene was way too political and serious, these guys took a tip from The Ramones and wrote songs about girls, which is, let's face it, way more important than politics ... well, if you're a real man!

The New Pornographers -- Twin Cinema

Power Popped Indie Rock album Twin Cinema by The New Pornographers is ok, pretty good, but honestly I wasn't too coo-coo for coco puffs about it for one sheer reason, none of the numbers stood out, they seemed all the same, great for background, but not mind blowing.
