X -- Live At The Whisky A Go-Go

  Picked this up decades ago in the 99 cent cassette bargain bin, way back when my sh*t town actually had a music store.  I was stoked, it has a million songs, and it was my first X album.  Not that it was all that bad, but it was recorded in the late 80's -- way past the band's prime.

The Blues ... A Real Summit Meeting

  Pretty much live Blues luminaries in the 70's, maybe it's not the best record, but it shows that the music was still relevant and alive in a time when the Blues had been completely invaded by whitey!  

Teenage Fanclub -- Bandwagonesque

  Who the hell stole my Teenage Fanclub tape??  Dammit I had this classic, Grungy kinda gazy with rock sensibilities, album years ago ... oh god, let's face it decades ago ... This one definitely stood the test of time!  

Operation Ivy -- Energy

  The only band in my opinion to successfully incorporate hardcore punk and ska music.  These guys may have only lasted two years but their influence has spanned decades, although I'm not too crazy about the bands they influenced!

The Strokes -- Is This It

  You know what I never bought all the hype about this band I always thought they were a wanna-be Punk version of Coldplay, and that ain't sayin' much.  Yeah yeah they had a couple of good chops and almost some good songs, but they seem to have gotten misdirected later in their career.  Because of their unauthenticity I get the impression they are fabricated by the label to sell products, like designer overpriced grunge ripped jeans and Coca-Cola (or cocaine).  Funny enough I was listening to Deerhunter's Monomania and kept thinking if The Strokes were any good they would have gone in that direction!

Biohazard -- State Of The World Address

  I hate this pathetic f*cking band.  I was subjected to these guys, many other carbon copies and worst for two days at Montebello's Rockfest, which I now deem the PIT OF HELL.  The small town in Quebec hosts a complete take over of a gargantuan amount of gutter punks, metalfreaks, junkies, weirdos and screwheads.  I have never seen anything like it, it was insane pandemonium all day every day ... luckily a hand full of classic punk bands saved the day including Screeching Weasel and (Black) Flag, otherwise it was a festival of shit, piss, puke, madness and Lord Worm!

The Evaporators -- Gassy Jack And Other Tales

  Ok I get it he's cool because he's so annoying and pretty much saddlebags celebrities into letting him interview them ... great, I love it.  But Nardwuar's Evaporators suck, it's a mix of Pop and Garage Punk in the worst way, the music is so irritating I had to turn it off!
