Plants And Animals -- Parc Avenue

These cutsie-poutsie Montrealers sound like a Lo-Fi Coldplay with a hint of their local contemporaries The Arcade Fire, it makes me wanna hit Parc and chill on Mount Royal.

Akron/ Family -- Love Is Simple

This album is confusing to me, it's part really good and part really bad, but I couldn't help thinking that if Mumford and Sons didn't suck and weren't cheesy is this what they would sound like ...

Animal Collective -- Merriweather Post Pavilion

Oh God I know some of my friends are going to want to dick punch me for this review because this band seems to be quite popular.  Admittedly there are some interesting elements to their music but for the most part I didn't like this release at all, I kept thinking, "what is this, the sh*tty Flaming Lips?"  Sorry but whatever Psych-Folk Avant-Guarde they are selling, I ain't buyin'!

Caribou -- Andorra

Apart from two duds I had to skip, I really enjoyed this Beatles-esque Indie Pop release, made me think of a pre-Tame Impala sound.

King Khan And The Shrines -- The Supreme Genius Of ...

These guys brought, Garage Revival music, back from it's gloomy repetitive grave, by mixing the ferocious Psych Punk of The Fuzztones with a touches of Psychedelic Soul, making a true testament to Rock 'n' Roll.

Grizzly Bear -- Yellow House

F*ck man I really love this deam-folk-indie-gazer album, it's very diverse while each song is woven  together giving it a whole feeling.  I think that Yellow House will stand up to the test of time nicely, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Beach House -- Teen Dream

Don't get me wrong I liked this album, but I have to say all these Indie hipster bands are starting to sound alike to me.  It was a good effort, but sounds forced.
