Scout Niblett -- The Calcination Of ...

  Finely, Steve Albini, produced, played like Sleater Kinney meets the Pixies lofi 90's throwback music.  The Calcination of Scout Niblett is sonically fragile but tough, like I'm a sensitive person but it doesn't mean I'm going to take any shit!

Neil Young

  You can hear the bridge between Buffalo Springfield and solo Neil Young music in this album, a reinvention of the past to make the future, it's maybe not his best but it tells you volumes of who he will be and where he came from!

Early Folk Blues

  Between the 20's and early 50's there was a grass roots musical revolution in American culture rising out of the countries most unwanted.  The blues artists never stood a chance at any financial success during their lifetimes, but they went on playing in juke joints, recorded where and when they could, for little recognition and even less money.  Like the punk rockers of the 70's and 80's or avant-garde artists they played their music out of sheer need, never catering to what the mainstream wanted or expected, instead they bashed out a raw, guttural and influential sound, that birthed modern music as we know it.

Nico -- Desertshore

  Nico's weird, gothic, chamber style album, led by multi-instrumentalist/ producer John Cale, was strangely annoying at first, but became great under the right circumstance ... which was rainy day bummed out morning coffee.

Chrome -- Red Exposure

  Although this album is well received and ground breaking, I can't stand this kind of bleak gothy industrial music, I last about five minutes, then I have to turn it off.  Maybe I should take up doing heroin so these tunes would sound mega awesome ... ya ... no thanks!

The Zombies -- Odessey and Oracle

  Baroque popped bizarro Beach Boys-esque masterwork by, what I like to think of as 60's indie rock band, The Zombies, who quickly fizzled out before its release, and refused to reform at any cost after Time Of The Season became a major hit ... man I will never forget this album for the sole reason that I, now resentfully, traded this record for a Jam bootleg double LP, who I was far more interested in, in those days, which ended up not playing well or sounding any good at all, it felt like a dirty trick from my best buddy at the time, I'd say live and learn, but I hate that saying, it was just one of those life mistakes.

Stiff Little Fingers -- Inflammable Material

  I have a love/ hate relationship with the Stiff Little Fingers style of pub punk, but this album does capture their best moments ... hands down!
